Fantastic job on the skin ecspecially his head but the fabric shading does look a bit off however fabrics are always the hardest because of all the wrinkles they create
fabulous expression too

i agree. i was veery frustrated with his shirt. i still hate drawing fabrics. but i must face them and beat them. i simply must.

I personally don't enjoy this type of shading, but it's an awesome portrait... with a lots of expression :D

the shading bugs me too. i hated his shirt! i still do... and fabrics still baffle me. i need more practice with them.
if you have any suggestions or things that you've found work for you - i'd love some tips

I'm too young to give tips, I'm sorry. I'm not even confident enough of my own work... but if you wanna check it, drop by my gallery. I also got a DD, not long ago, from Traditional Art... still, I don't feel confident about my works. They could be a lot better.

hehe there should be more coming in over the summer. i have a couple of comissions to do and a couple of late burfday presents (i have given up on shopping for presents for anybody at any time. i'm not the shoppin' kind of girl. i get headaches in malls and ditsyness and the word "like" strewn across a sentence just plain pisses me off...)
somehow i think it will be a pleasure knowing you.
